Good Junkin Day...

Daisy has been busy with life lately.. So she finaly got back to her new favoriate thing Junkin.. Junkin to her is hitting thrift, church, or any other kind of second hand shop. Junkin you can really get some amazing things. Things you never new you needed.

Today was a good day indeed for junkin. She got one of her trusty pals and tried to hit a few stores. And score Daisy did.

Daisy and company hit a store called the Barn. The barn was having a sale and a sale it was all clothing for .25 each. I was able to get a wool skirt (for felting), Waterman's pants (I am going to used them for snow pants), pair of PJ's for me, 4 fat quatars (sewing), landend shirt and a few books all for a price of $3.45 that is good shopping. Junkin right now is good snice most stores are trying to get rid of winter stuff. So if you have some stores hit them hard..

The Art of Hunting..

Well Daisy had a apponitment in a town about 1hr away from her so she plotted and plotting looking for the amazing store that would have treasure in it and found it when she googled "Thrift Stores" She found a link that shared many that where in her area. Daisy loves Thrift Stores she loves the Hunt. The rush of finding the one thing she always need but never knew. Daisy is kinda of addict on this type of Hunting. She tries to get a fellow hunters

to go with her on her hunts. One of the most amazing places she has found is the Salvation Army and at "Sals" she has learned that every Wendsday is 1/2 day. Please check yours out. She is finding quite a bit of crafting stuff there. Look at beding as fabric. Look at jeans as a bag. Think out side the box. Look at something already made and think "what else can I turn this into.

Daisy is very bless but she loves a good deal while she was out hunting this week she found this dress for her self for the amazing price of only $8.00 She could not pass this up. She happly paid the money knowing it was going to a charity so it was a win win thing. Daisy loves knowing that small acts of kindness really do make a diffrence. Have you had a act of kindess today.

Well Daisy has been busy..

She really liked the 1st pillow she made so she made another one to give as present. Daisy had a little help picking everything out. Which made it more fun.

Look what she made!! She got a this from www.cluckclucksew.com and was able to make it. Now she has grand idea's of how to customize this pillow. How about black and white?? Or a rainbow??

Daisy is very thrifty we know. She saw a Valentines blanket at Target and waited and waited until it went 75% off and this is where she got the petals so .75 for the blanket (she still as some left over) and the black and white square is from Ikea $5.99 yd. So for a little under $3.00 and about 1hr she was able to make it.

Let's start...

Ok I am going to do this.  I have a bag of old wool sweaters in the washing maching hoping to be shrunk and a table cloth from Sal's (Salvation Army) in the dryer.  What I am going to do???  Well this winter I treated my self to a few books one is "Sew What! Skirts by Franesca Denhartog and Carole Ann Camp and the other book (thanks Mom) is "The warm Fuzzy's" by Betz White.

I hope to turn the sweaters in to a hand bag maybe or in to a scarf. Still don't know yet but working on that one.
For the table cloth I want to make a skirt.  Just for me.  Once the fabric is done I will try to post a pic. I can do this.
